Purchase Parallels 16.5 for M1 in June now a new version is out

Hey HankD, I did a quick chat with the support, they offered me 10% discount on the upgrade.I purchased version 16 at the end of June.. now need to shell out again for a new version.. not happy. has anyone had any luck with request a free upgrade to version 17?

I purchased my copy on the 29th of July, just 2 days shy of their 1st of August deadline.
I'm really disappointed since the upgrade came out on the 10th of August, 12 days after I purchased, and I am still not eligible?!!
At least they should make the deadline 30days before the release date since I was eligible for a refund. Seems like they benefitted from my ignorance.
Didn't receive anything from parallels to let me know.
I regret upgrading now!
Unless I get a free upgrade I'll be looking for an alternative company, since I find this really unethical.
