    Hello,
I am having difficulties installing Parallels Loopback. A few weeks ago everything was still working with the sound recording.
I deleted the directory /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ParallelsToolboxAudio.driver and then restarted my MacBook. Then I wanted to start a recording and was asked if a system component for audio recordings should be installed. I agreed and then restarted my MacBook. After rebooting, Parallels Loopback is still not installed, nor is it listed in the Audio-MIDI-Setup.
    macOS Catalina version 10.15.7 (19H2)
    Parallels Toolbox Version 4.1.1 (3698)
Please help, thank you very much.

    Hello,

Being correctly installed, Parallels Loopback device will be visible in the list of output sound devices only after starting recording.
But let's check that it is installed.
    1) Check that "/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ParallelsToolboxAudio.driver" folder exists
    2) if not, generate Technical Report and post its ID here (https://kb.parallels.com/en/124107).

Hello, the directory exists. I have reinstalled Parallels Toolbox several times, also already removed the directory manually with admin rights and then reinstalled the sound driver through Parallels Toolbox. But it seems that ParallelsToolboxAudio.driver is just not loaded / used.

    Thanks for details.
But what about output device list while recording is started? Do the next:
    - Open System Preferences -> Sound -> Output
    - Start screen recording (with 'Computer' audio source)
    - Make screenshot of System Preferences (like in attach).

Everything is now working again. I had to disable Sophos, even though Sophos did not show any warnings.
