Hello everybody, I have a MacBook Pro with touchbar, I had installed Windows 10 through bootcamp & I installed last Sunday parallels 13. Everything worked fine (i.e. I could normally run W10 through the bootcamp partition AND run W10 through MacOS via parallels) until yesterday when I assume some updates installed themselves. Ever since: a. the parallels vm works fine, b. when I try to boot through bootcamp partition it is stuck rebooting on & on... I have tried: 1.Uninstalling all updates through parallels. 2.Used a usb recovery drive to try & fix the problem: I tried the "startup repair" but it failed saying it "couldn't repair" my PC. 3.Also when using the usb recovery drive, if I select close pc I get a stopcode CLOCK WATCHDOG TIMEOUT error. 4. I have tried but was not able to activate it in safe mode. I tried both holding the shift key and (by connecting a keyboard to the MacBook) holding F8. Nothing ends me up to Safe Mode. I need to be able to boot from bootcamp (there's a professional software I use that will not function properly through parallels). ANY idea or suggestion is welcomed.
OK so I went to the vm, I chose RESET & then I had the same problem on parallels!!! Blue screen, chose "startup repair", it failed & then it restarted (always on parallels) & then gladly it works again on parallels. Now when I try to boot from bootcamp I get the Inaccessible Boot Device error. I have properly shut down the vm from parallels. Any ideas?
Hi NikolaosK3, I have the same problem I think.. All worked perfectly. the VM still works but when I need to start win10 on bootcamp I have the blue screen with the stop code : inaccessible boot device. Still any ideas how to solve that? I am using some software which doesn't work on the vm so really need to boot on win10...
Hello NikolaosK3, Please follow http://bit.ly/1rhhTe9 to locate the virtual machine file on the Mac (it is a file with the extension '.pvm'). Once you see it, take note of its size and reply with the same.
