I replaced my hard drive and migrated my files from time machine. when i try to run parallels desk top (mac pro ed.) checks for updates and prompts me to update to Parallels Desktop 12 for Mac 12.1.0 (41489). If I either "skip this version" or "download and install update," the computer starts to open parallels and then I get "The installation cannot start while virtual machines are running in the background. Open Parallels Desktop, quit the virtual machines running in the background, and then quit Parallels Desktop and try again." But cannot open parallels desktop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
