Cannot open Parallels Desktop on Mac anymore

    Hi StephanieM1,
    You have to be in recovery mode and perform these steps. Refer to this article. Also, if you have I/O error on the hard disk it will not mostly be detected in Disk Utility as First Aid helps to repair permissions not read and write errors.

    i was really surprised, when i got this error an needed to fix it fast.

    and i hoped my solution would help others, facing the same problem...

    I was in recovery mode when I was using Terminal. Still got the "No such file or directory."

    Success! Parallels loaded after I disabled the system integrity protection.

    today i got 4 more iMacs with the same problem.
    can anybody tell me why this happens?
    whats is the cause?
     
  9. Hi ChristophS5, it's due to the Incorrect permissions to the /tmp folder on the Mac side.
    Please try this solution and let us know how it works.

    i know the solution, but i want to know, why from one day to an other the permissions aren't correct anymore...
