I have a Macbook Pro OS X Yosemite version 10.10.3 and Parallels Windows 10, it never gave me any problems up until now. From three days ago to today, my Parallel desktop gives me a blue screen demanding recovery. "A component of the operating system has expired." File: \windows\system32\boot\winload.exe Error code: 0xc0000605 The options are press enter to try again and press F8 for startup settings, both of which do nothing but return to the blue screen with the message. This is the first time this has ever happened to me and I don't know what to do, please help!
On stackoverflow there is a thread where they tell about screewing back the System time to something bevore April 2015 would help, sadly this didn't help me but perhaps you are more lucky. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/30130229/modernie-vm-windows-10-for-parallels-wont-run
I have the same problem on my iMac running Yosemite with Parallels 10 and I see the very same screen with a slightly different error code ending on 428. Meanwhile I see an additional message telling me something like The technical preview was made very convenient to install in Parallels 10 but it comes out to be dangerous when this preview version suspends. I wasn't aware of this because I use windows only from time to time. Now I'm excluded from my files, also these on my bootable backup because a bootable backup has the same problem to start windows. Actually there is a windows 10 Preview but how could I update from the Preview? Is there any other way to get to my files on windows?
Sorry buddy, didn't help me either. Still stuck with the screen although I will have to say that mine is 0xc0000605 not 0xc0000428

However we all are still waiting for Microsoft to release the full product. Once the complete product is released, then we will be in a better position to help you all with the issues. Also regarding the error message that you have been receiving, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in this link: http://kb.parallels.com/122992 Since Windows 10 Insider preview ISO is no longer available for download from Microsoft website, so you can download the ISO file & install Windows 10 Insider preview version on Parallels Desktop using the link given below : http://getintopc.com/softwares/operating-systems/windows-10-build-10176-iso-64-bit-free-download/ Please note: The link that is provided is not from the official Microsoft page. So you can choose to download it from there or not. Its your choice.
was there ever a resolution to this? I'm getting this error message. Tried purchasing a newer version of Parallels hoping that it would fix it (or that in the least I would be able to access Parallels tech support) but neither of those things happened. So frustrating. $200 down the drain. Their tech support is totally bogus?
