I purchased Parallels so I could move off of Vista and onto 64bit Win 7 Host OS. However, I need to retain Vista as a Guest OS due to its Movie Maker application. Parallels tells me that it doesn't have the video acceleration needed to run the application. Movie Maker seems to be pretty simple little application that I would think would run on a VM. Anyone know of a workaround? I'm running Parallels Desktop 4.0. Thank You.

Try to install Movie Maker again with Live Essentials. It works on me.

Thanks VilleT. How did you get Movie Maker Live to run. I tried it many different ways and even tried moving my Vista VM to another Parallels host. I now use XP and Vista 32bit as my Host. It always comes back with a message stating that my video card doesn't have the require configuration to run Movie Maker or Movie Maker Live. I've upped the video memory to 256mb and I've run diags on the Vista VM showing that it has directx 10. I've upped the Vista VM RAM to 1GB. I'm using Parallels 4.0. VilleT, are you using the same Parallels version? Thank you.
