Parallel Tools FP Exception

Thanks for trying. It was an existing installation in which the tools hadn't been installed yet. I can try in the latest Debian installation...

I just installed a new Debian installation and installed the parallel tools.

I *STILL* get a floating point exception:

./prl-tools-installer.sh: line 86: 2709 Floating point exceptionprluserd

After that my X installation is messed up.

You can try it for yourself:

Looks like you guys simply did not test one of the most common Linux distros (??!). Please let me know your course of action. If you cannot reproduce it you have to describe in detail what you are doing because I can reproduce it very easily with the updated parallel tools you posted. If you cannot reproduce it I would like to see proof of this. Please post some screenshot.

Doesn't work in Opensuse 11 either (5624). Parallels tools installs, but login crashes immediately (Picture 4.png)

Not trying to start a fight here, just passing on some info.
I've used Parallels 'forever.' Mainly use it for XP, which works very well for me. Linux support has always been 'ah-hemm.'
Tried out 'VirtualBox' from Sun. Great experience with Linux for me. Did the same Opensuse 11 install I did in Parallels. Tried to install the equivalent of tools. No go, but did get a message saying you need x + y package. Installed them. Viola. Everything works. Very nice piece of software!

any news about this bug? I have the same problem installing parallels tools on debian.

I have installed the last upgrade, but I still have the same error:

You can see the tools-version is the old one instead the new i supposed to find in the 5636 built.

Can I hope this problem will be solved?
