I have been trying to painfully gather information on a configuration I would like to achieve. I decided to create a post as I feel it would help a lot of people as well as myself to have it all in one place. In my mind, this is the optimal configuration for a mac/windows box. Here is what I want to accomplish: 1) Run OSX natively 2) Run Windows 7 64 natively with bootcamp 3) Access same windows 7 bootcamp installation through parallels (without a separate windows key) 4) have a data partition so that all my personal docs, music, videos, pictures are accessible from either OS whether booted into or Paralleled I am pretty sure I can piece together 1-3, but #4 has me stumped. Maybe I don't need a whole partition for my files, just a place where I can read/write from any OS. A partition just seems clean to me. What do you think? If you have an opinion on the best doc to follow for any of the steps, please post.
