Windows 10.pvmp invalid configuration file, unable to extract to Windows 10.pvm again!

Good morning, I was trying to transfer a Windows 10 VM from mac hd to an external hdd... Windows 10.pvmp file was generated correctly and the checksum is verified, but I can't open the package anymore and I get the error "Invalid configuration file..." It's really a big problem because I risk to lose some important files. Could you please help me to solve the problem? Thank you for your kind answer and consideration.

Could you please let us know on which Mac machine, you are trying to unpack the Windows 10 .pvmp file? M1 Mac or Intel Mac? Thanks
 
Did you solve this? I have been dealing with this for a week and support has not been very helpful. I do not have any option to "unpack" and dragging it into the control center triggers the error. I am using an Intel Mac and I have tried multiple Intel Macs with Parallels installed. All have given me the same error
