Need help in setting up Memory and CPUs

The only reason I use my virtual machine, is the run Quick Books account software on Windows 7.

To have it run smootly, I need your help.

In the configure window under virtual machine, what do I select in CPUs? ( mine is set to 2 CPUs)
In memory, 4 GB is select.

I have 8 GB on my iMac.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi

Genreraly client system need 1 CPU , in case of server its recommend use 2 cpu .
in the ram point of view please check windows 7 version ,if its 32 bit you can not utilise more than 3.2 gb ram so assign more than that just waste resource,if it 64 bit then assign 4 gb its good.

Basically your configuration seems to be ideal.
Can you please clarify if you have any performance issues?

  4. For just quickbooks you can reduce that VM RAM to 1.5 GB (or even 1 GB), no need to waste 2.5 GB that can be used on OSX.

Note: I've ran Photoshop on Windows 7 64 bit VM with 1.5 GB RAM smoothly.
