    Hi@all,

I want to install an mac os x server on a parallels vm.
The installation should be made with the application "Server Admin" started at an Mac OS X Client.

The Client and the Server(vm) are on the same iMac and in the same Subnet. The Server NIC is configured at "standard-adapter" and got his ip from an windows domain controller. The server is startet from install-disk.
But the "server admin" doesn´t show the server as "ready for install"; at all is no server shown in the list.

I can ping the server from the client, so i can´t understant why server admin do not find him.

    can anyone help me please?

Parallels 5 for Mac Build 5.0.9344 is used.
    Mac OS X 10.6.3
    Mac OS X Server 10.6

    Now the situation has changed:
The server is now listed in server-admin as ready for installation. The cause is that you must not touch the mouse or keyboard.

    Now the Problem goes on!!!
When I click onto the shown server and click the button "Install" nothing happens... :X

    Where is the Problem?
Someone told me, that the Remote-Installation via Server-Admin need the serial no. from the server. The SN is on the VM the same like the iMac when you look into the System Profiler. Could that be my Problem?

Do Parallels not generate a seperated SN for the VMs?
