problem opening images on OS X with Photoshop Elements in WinXP

I open Win XP in Parallels in Coherence mode, and when I open an image in finder (OS X Tiger) and try and open with, or drag and drop into, Photoshop Elements 3 (in Win XP) all I get is the transparent background layer without any actual image. I have tried all sorts of tweaks and settings to no avail. Any ideas?
 
Hello rb_stern,

Drag and drop will not work for a big file as Parallels clipboard can contain just 1MB currently.
You should share you Mac folders with VM (Configuration Editor - Shared Folders) and you will be able to open the picture from Photoshop using File -> Open.
