I was using Parallels Desktop 20 under perpetual license which is permanent for one-off charge, I then upgraded a few months ago to Parallels Desktop 26 under perpetual license for a small fee. All was good for first few months with my Windows 11 virtual machine until Parallels Tools expired as apparently this is only complimentary for three months now and must be paid yearly for perpetual license users.

This now means my Parallels Desktop is completely unusable as full screen/coherence stopped working leaving me with a 3in square window. The networking also stopped working so cannot use emails, internet or shared drives.

How can a company legally sell a product perpetual permanent license with one-off charge that then requires a yearly fee or you have no basic functionality?

Also unable to install parallels tools as menu option does not exist under actions menu and the virtual cd iso copy of prl_tools will not run ptagent.
