Parallels Desktop v5 will not open: "not responding"

    Cannot open Parallels Desktop v5. First screen appears, then spinning beach ball. Program requires force quit: "not responding". Uninstalled and then reinstalled; same problem.

    Using iMac, running OSX 10.5.6; virtual program XP. Permissions OK. Ran Disk Warrior to repair directory. Parallels still "not responding".

    Ran OK in past, but not now.

    Anyone offer any help? thanks.
