I have a 2020 27" INTEL iMac. It is running MacOS 10.15.7 I am running Parallels 17, latest version. I am trying to set up a VM running MacOS Monterey. The VM loads fine and runs, but there is no internet connection. It always gets a self-assigned IP address. Is this a known issue? It shows up as known here for M1 macs: https://kb.parallels.com/en/125506 I need to set up this VM running Monterey so I can create and test some native builds in xcode before deploying them to customers. Here is the screenshot from the installation wizard of Monterey. Even after installing Parallels Tools, there is still no internet connection in this VM.
Bump! Has anyone else experienced this issue using Monterey in a VM on an Intel Imac running Catalina?
@MatkatMusic I have the same problem. I know this is not a problem on Big Sur / Monterey as the host. I presume it has to do with Apple deprecating Kernel Extensions in Big Sur / Monterey, but on Catalina, it is still using Kernel Extension, where newer macOS is using System Extension, it would be nice to get an official answer.
This was solved by the 'reset to default' buttons in the VM Preferences, after rolling back to Parallels V17.0.1
