Migrating to a new Macbook Pro

Hi Everyone, I have upgraded from a 2010 13" Macbook Pro to a new 2011 15" Macbook Pro. I'm using Version 7 and have a Windows 7 Professional VM. I am not going to use Migration Assistant in OSX Lion but rebuild OSX from scratch. What if anything do I need to do to move my VM to the new Mac? Is it as simple as just coping the VM from the directory on the Old Mac to the New Mac? Thanks for any help....
