Running Parallels 17.1.2. Today have updated my macOS 12.3 VM to 12.3.1. It has hung on the reboot as seen in this capture: It has looked like this for over 45 minutes. There are no disk accesses. BTW, the VM captured my mouse and KB and took 10 minutes of pressing ctrl-option to get them back. Should I reboot the VM or give up. Thanks.
UPDATE: Did a "Stop" on the VM and restarted. The 12.3.1 install went through and finished correctly.
I had a similar problem. Several times the vm just quit and I had to launch the vm again. After a handful of reboots, it finally booted up. However, I've noticed that a vm running 12.3.1 is much slower than one running 12.2.1. And there are problems with scrolling inside Safari, entering text into fields, clicking on checkboxes, etc. So I've given up using 12.3.1 in a vm and am back to using 12.2.1 in my vm.
I have had the same issue since version 17. It was just easier for me to reinstall 12.3.1 from MacOS 10.15.7 & transfer the old data from the old system .pvm file.
