Today while working on Parallels, it hung up, and when I had rebooted I was told config.pvs was lost or corrupted. I could not find another copy of it on my Mac. I had a back-up of my migration, and tried to install that, but in adding the Parallels tools, it too hung up and I have apparently lost the migrated files. Both copies were on external HD's. I have disposed of my Windows computer, but still have the internal HD. What to do next?
My back-up copy of XP, from a second migration, I have running finally. Is it possible to copy that second copy's config.pvs into the original which had become corrupted? If so, would this be an obvious copy-and-paste, or something more complex?
