intentional product downgrade

I enjoy using Parallels to play games. The Standard Edition is not powerful enough to run many of the modern games. I prefer a permanent license for the Pro version but that isn't an available option to me. If I shelve my macbook pro and don't come back for a year or more I don't want to come back to a virtual machine that I can't access to use as the license has expired. So if I were to up up my Standard Edition to Pro for a time now can I later downgrade my pro to Standard Ed one time purchase again so that I don't lose access to my virtual machine?

Hello @AplhaM ,
You may purchase and activate a Pro license in order to have the required resource allocation to your virtual machine.
Note: Please do make sure that your Mac has enough resources to allocate to the virtual machine first.
Since the Pro subscription is a yearly renewal, you may disable the autorenewal so that it does not renew after one year.
Depending on the requirements then, you may choose to go for a Permanent license or renew the Pro subscription by turning it On again.
Thank you!
