I had a relatively painless experience using Parallels Desktop to play Spelunky 2. In the past if there were issues I would uninstall and reinstall steam and that worked twice. Now the aforementioned game doesn't go past the title screen without crashing. Other less demanding games (seriously undemanding games like TIS 100 and Crypt of the Necrodancer) still play fine in my current set up. I am wondering if this has anything to do with my RAM. I have 8gb and on my task manager Spelunky is taking up 3.5gb. I would like to see if increasing my RAM allocation helps matters but I'm getting some strong nudges from the setup wizard not to try this.
Hello, does you choose game mode for your virtual machine? (virtual machine configurations -> General -> Configure for -> Games only )
