I'm running 10.8.2 on a MBP 13 late 2011 i5 8GB RAM late model 2011. Upgraded right away to P8 (from P7) when it came out hoping that it'll have better performance (and also a fix for full on trackpad gestures). Well, the gestures are not fixed (mainly the back and forward gestures). That was extremely disappointing. To add insult, the overall speed performance got even worse! Specifically, the performance hits happen when I put it in Full Screen mode. It just puts the Mac side to an unusable crawl (and find Spotlight re-indexing for some weird reason). So to just get along with P8, I drive it in non-coherence, non-Full Screen mode. Seems to work that way, but I lose screen real estate that way. I think I'll just conclude for now that Parallels is really just a work-in-progress and suck it up, eh? Maybe one of these days, some sort of "messiah" will be hired by Parallels to point out how to fix all these. -Joel
