I was dropped out of my windows (vista) work and an error message appeared to the effect that the system could not start the virtual machine and asking me to free space on the hard disc. However, when I try to expand the space via configure/hardware nothing happens. I cannot see how to access and delete the space and delete files to otherwise free up space and am somewhat surprised to get the message as there is very little stored on the partition. I just use it to run a couple of programmes. These are vital to me so this is a major problem now. Also whilst I have been wrestling with the problem the amount of space I am asked to free up has more than doubled from 817MB to 1840Mb Help would be appreciated...desperate

I think it's asking you to free up space on your Mac drive (the one containing the virtual machine) rather than the virtual machine's drive.
