What is your keyboard and mouse set to function as in the Properties window before you start the VM? It should be PS/2. This will probably allow you to get the mouse to work so that you are able to activate your copy of windows.

I had 3188 up and running after talking to a tech. They suggested setting up the VM initially as having no disk or pointing to an image, then later switching it to point to the Boot Camp image. But, after running this flawlessly for 3 weeks, the updated said I should update... so I did. It's the same version, but has now completely killed the ability to boot from Boor Camp partition. BOO! I get the "Unable to open disk image Boot Camp!" message. nothing seems to have resolved this! Help!

    No.
Parallels, when opened, alerts me that I need to "update" the application and lets me choose to D/L and install the update.

I did notice the difference in names... my original 3188 install has the name: "Parallels Desktop 3188 Mac en.dmg" and the "update" version has the name: "Parallels-Desktop-3188-Mac-en.dmg"

I've tried completely un-installing and reinstalling each of these, yet boot camp is still unbootable. I've also completely re-wiped my boot camp partition as well and retried clean installs of both. I'm also trying NOT to be completely frustrated here... ;)

So, it's 3 months later and Parallels still has not responded to my issues concerning their NON WORKING application.

...and they expect people to pay for an update? How the hell am I going to know if it's even going to work this time? How come my order states "free upgrades"?

    BOO to Parallels!
As for deploying on our machines, I'm going to wait till Apple or someone else releases something a bit more solid.
