storage opimization

On my very old iMac I have just one VM and that one is for Windows XP. I was investigating my storage and I saw that Parallels VMs was using 60+ GB. I can't believe it needs all that so what can I do that will decrease the amount of storage space that it's using?

Hello, When I go on my storage monitor My MAC tells me that Parallels Desktop virtual machines use 61,74 GB of storage. And when I go to Document/Parallels I have a Windows10.pvm which use 61,74 GB too. So Parallels ends up using 123,48 GB storage space. Is it normal? Thanks
