linux install

I working with a VM file from a third-party company who for security reasons does NOT grand root access to the provided long in credentials. as a result when I try to install Parallel Tools in the openSUSE environment I can't. Is there anyway to get around it?

Anyone get past the Grub Loop* yet? Yes, I have an ARM distro. Yes, I have disabled sound, microphone, and webcam. Yes, I have disabled 3D graphics. A second, but truly annoying thing is the inability to "shut down" the VM. It simply refuses. Shame on me for not researching more. My head...
