This is a bug. If I create a new VM with two hard drives, no CD, and I don't want to boot from CD, Parallels Desktop must respect that. PLEASE provide a way to disable Installation Assistant.

Not all of my utilities exist on boot CD, and not all of my utilities fit in a 1.44 floppy. Please support 2.88 floppies. They're totally legit, and work fine on "other" VM solutions.

I second. If I create a VM with two hard drives, no CD, and booting from floppy, that's the way I want it. DO NOT change it. A preference or option in the wizard to disable the Installation Assistant isn't just a feature, it's a requirement.

The only time I've had problems in cmd.exe is when running other legacy apps like command.com or edit.com. Are there any specific apps that cause problems?

command runs terribly on real Windows machines too. Use cmd, not command.

Is this in Windows? Are you running 'command' or 'cmd'? If you are running Win2kX or XP, use 'cmd', not 'command'. As an experiment though, if you type a bunch of characters and then go wave the mouse around, do the keystrokes all show up all of a sudden? I had some behavior like that...

I'm seeing this on 10.4.6 with a MBP and iMac, but only just after rebooting. I can watch kextstat and see that it takes at least 30 seconds or so for the hypervisor and vmmain kexts to load. As long as you wait a few extra seconds, PW starts right up.

Ghost works if you disable VT-x in the VM before running. Then just enable VT again after ghost is finished. Still, this should get fixed.

Thanks for the fix. Trying to use Linux and code without | or \ is a real killer.
