    I'm also trying to find some answers for this.....I want to restore a Time Machine Back up to it but can't change the side of the virtual disk.....

    Parallels Takes Over DVD

    Have you gone to Devices > DVD/CD > Disconnect? Should stop Parallels from using the disc drive so Mac can do it.....

    Did you ever find a solution for this? I have the same issue....its something that used to work now doesn't.
