I agree. I run all Office apps alongside Parallels with no problems on Macbook Pro and Mac Pro.
On the other hand, if it weren't for the hard work of the Parallels team, I wouldn't have HAD to buy a new Mac Pro this year. :-)
I noticed this using Virtual PC as well. Windows downloads are significantly faster than the same download on the Mac side. I don't know why.
