I can confirm that this no fix in my case. The only different in my setup is that I am running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS instead of 24.04. Are you still good on 24.04?

In that case this issue exists on both 22.04 and 24.04.

Issues with kali update causes VM to fail. In addition to that, there is no tools for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS either. Virtualbox is free and it works! Not going to renew - im tired of this! I dont pay a lot of money to deal with issues like this

This issue seem to be solved now. First I updated to Parallels to 12.1.2 (41525), then I installed Kali from kali-linux-2016.2-amd64.iso and ran dist-upgrade before installing the drivers.
