As in highlight, then go back into XP? Are you sure that Firefox in Windows works? Or is just loading a cached page?

Hmm... Sometimes this unability to allocate memory is able to be fixed by cleaning system caches with a tool like Onyx... Have you tried that?

Re-install? Have you tried un-installing and re-installing word? (Back-up your templates first and preference files)
