    As you said, you reinstalled Windows XP, it means you erased old data, try to restore VM from backup

    Windows has stopped as it trys to boot

    start Parallels Desktop holding Command key - in COnfiguration Editor - Hard Disk 1- Advanced -click Clear Note, you need to activate Windows again
