What guest OS type is set in your configuration?
Can you give more details - which guest OS you are using and what kind of crash do you have after wake up?

Host only networking will be introduced in the nearest update. Constant's cite from user guide describes it pretty well.
We are working on this issue and it will become better in GA. But I can't give you estimations on how much better it will become right now.
Use xorgconfig to configure any resolution up to 1600x1200x32bpp. Just mind to choose "Generic VESA" videocard.

It's OK with standard drivers. 2G disk in typical configuration was specially choosen as the biggest accepted by default OS/2 Warp 4 distro.
