Try to use "Shared networking" mode - you can change in VM configuration in Network Adapter options. It is available in newest 1970 build.
Why don't you just call Microsoft and reactivate your alredy installed XP?
Please upgrade to 1970! Build 1848 was released before Mac Pro and is not compatible with it (thanks Apple secrecy:)
