I upgrade to 11990 but didn't install Parallels Tools. Still unsatisfactory that it ripped apart and broke almost everything.
Also.. did you install the latest version of Parallels Tools? Can you use Time Machine to roll back?

Please do. Knock it down to 2 Gig if possible and then try to boot it.
