Not true completely. With PD 3 stopped I tried to edit a Word file and it went to Word 2003. I've since changes that by file assns....

Can do without re-install for sure if you backed up your winxp.hdd (and maybe winxp.pvs) before upgrading. But I'd give it a try even if not....

There is an icon at the bottom of the screen, third from the left. Click on it and set the disk mode from image to real, and all will be well....

Did you create a new VM or have Parallels 3 install convert the one you were using before? A new VM might cause the activation problem. Odd...
