I run the ver 7 uninstall then installed v8 again and the figures are much better, still slightly lower that 7 but much nearer!
Well I upgraded to 8 with the promise of better performance and it is a big disappointment, much slower than 7! This is on a MacbookPro i7...

It is easy to get rid of the file, if Parallels support went such hopeless numpties they would know! Remove parallels tools from windows....

Wow 6.5 for HD, I cannot get parallels above 5.9 for that even though I have a 3 disk raid 0 system!

Also Lion works fine using a 32 bit kernel, it doesn't have to run 64 bit kernel.
Not sure that is true at all, I run PD7 using the 32 bit kernel.
