When you use parallels it will split your 2 gb. I go only on the mac side online (safer) so i should use ff on the mac side.
You better set in on 1 gb memory.

Have you tried just to install 4560 over the existing?
Does windows ask for reactivation? Did you delete other vm and parallels?
You can set windows that it automaticly updates the system. Or just go to windows update via browser.

Try to set booting "cd-rom, hard disk, floppy" Now it should install your cd Greetings...
I run windows xp with 512 ram and it is ok. You can test on your own what you like best.........
