Are you running out of HD space at all? It seems that Parallels creates a file the size of the amount of RAM you've allocated to Parallels....

I believe that there are currently issues with using vista bootcamp with Parallels, so if bootcamp is important to you, I would go with XP....
I believe it isn't legal regardless of whether you have it installed on your Dell or not, since OEM licenses are not transferable.
I had the same problem. Eventually, I just remapped expose and dashboard stuff to cmd-F*, and got used to working that way.
