    Hallo,

    Danke

    Hello,

I work with IMAC Intel with version 19 and now want the operating system macOS Tahoe Update. This also requires an update to Parallel Desktop 26. Does the Virtual Partition Windows XP still run after the update? Have an older program in XP and don't want to lose it?

    Thank you

I have the same setup and am also considering updating to version 26. I have the same concerns about XP. Have you tried it yet?

    Hallo EnricoK1,

Generally, upgrading to Parallels Desktop 26 should maintain compatibility with your existing Windows XP virtual machine. However, before performing the macOS Tahoe update, it is highly recommended to:

    1. Back up your VM file: Locate your .pvm file and copy it to an external drive.

    2. Update Parallels Tools: Ensure your tools are up to date within Windows XP before the OS upgrade.
Most older programs in XP continue to run fine as long as the virtual hardware settings remain consistent.
