Alt+tab to Citrix desktop inside Windows VM sends only a Tab first, then Alt+Tab

I access my work desktop through Citrix Workspace/Receiver on the Windows VM with the host OS being Mac Monterey Beta
While switching between windows inside the Citrix Workspace, I use opt+Tab on the Mac keyboard. This typically sends an Alt+tab to Windows.
The issue I am facing is this
  • When I press opt+Tab, it first sends "only a Tab" into the Citrix Workspace desktop
  • keeping opt pressed, if I press Tab again - thereafter an "Alt+tab" is sent
this is resulting in introducing an unwanted Tab space into my code or documents.
What is the way to get over this issue ? I have tried keys re-mapping in Parallels. Also tried using a Windows-only keyboard. Nothing works.

Host OS : Mac Monterey Beta
Guest OS : Windows 11 Insider Preview Beta
OS inside the Citrix Workspace desktop : Windows 7
