16.1.0 freezing when opening/closing images in Preview or using QuickLook from Finder

I'm trying to run Big Sur 11.0.1 Beta on Catalina to avoid rebooting between the 2 (also have BS bootable on external volume)

It's quite painful as often freezes for quite long (20-30 seconds) when opening or closing images in Preview, or just pressing space on files in Finder to invoke QuickLook and also when closing the quicklook window.

This is on an 8 core 5K iMac, ram set to the max of 8Gb, graphics at 1Gb.

Hi, I've just submitted this, ID is: 354122792
As described there I hit space with a PNG file (desktop screenshot) selected in Finder, took ~30 seconds for QuickLook to show the image. Then clicked the X to close it which took much longer, nearly 1 minute 30 seconds. CPU maxed out (4 cores allocated to the VM).
 
This seems to also cause WebKit web content to crash due to a code signing error. Trying to run TurboTax 2023 and it requires signing in to import data from financial institutions, and the sheet that comes up to sign into your Intuit account just goes into a crash loop.
