Windows 10 Shutdown Issue - Post April Update

Hello - every time I try to shut down Windows 10, the VM restarts and this message is served. This DID NOT happen prior to the April update.

thoughts?

Try this solution:
  1. Start Parallels Desktop.
  2. Launch the Windows virtual machine.
  3. Create snapshot: from the top menu bar select Actions > Create snapshot.
  4. Press command button to bring Start menu and then type cmd.
  5. You will see Command Prompt in suggestions, right-click on it and select Run as Administrator.
    NOTE: Be sure that you run Command Prompt as Administrator or you will encounter the following error message:
  6. In the Command Prompt type powercfg -h off and hit Enter/Return.
  7. Check the behavior.

@Johnl21, many thanks this worked for me also.

I believe the command disables / removes hibernation, however would be grateful if you could confirm how the command actually resolves the issue, Pros / Cons, etc.

The solution is not what i expect!
why the hell it keeps rebooting anyway, why is that Parallels does not fix this shit by releasing a new fix for it?
I expect Parallels to do their job, not tell me howe to fix it for them.

Hi, You are right. It only happens with Windows 10 (1803), whether you use Parallels 13 or 14. Both Parallels versions are affected.
But so far, the workaround works (hopefully).

Hello, I had the same issue but did solve it by expanding the disk space of the VM as I wanted to install new software. The issue appeared when I had only about 2GB free space on the VM left.

OK, this is funny. The problem is that the Virtual Machine will not Shutdown yet the first instructions in the article says to Shut Down the Virtual Machine, and make changes to the Settings.
The Virtual Machine will not Shut Down and Parallels will not allow any changes to be made to the settings until it does.
How is this supposed to help?

I followed the second work around which is the same as the one given in Post#2 and that works.
