A AndrewW3 Bit poster Jul 30, 2015 #2 I found the same issue. From reading the Microsoft forums, the product key will only work if you upgrade windows, not do a clean install.

I iMoep Junior Member Jul 30, 2015 #3 But i do the same process on my other machine. Start Setup.exe from ISO when i am in Windows 8.1 and then he did a upgrade.
