9.0.24251 won't start in Yosemite

Hello,

recently, I upgraded Mac OS X to Version 10.10.1 Yosemite. As I was using Parallels Desktop 9 before, I updated it to version 9.0.24251, as suggested here: http://kb.parallels.com/en/122670
However, when I tried to launch Parallels, even after the update, I get an error message with the problem-id 15381.

I manually deleted all Parallels files from all directories via find (not Spotlight), reinstalled the newest build of Parallels 9, but still I am not able to launch it.
I would be glad if someone could suggest me how to proceed.

Thank you very much!

Victor

Thank you for the reply.
However, as I wrote in the first post, I have already tried to completely uninstall Parallels 9 before installing the newest build. My complete uninstall included deleting all existing plist-Files.

Parallels 9.0.24251 still won't start yielding error code 15381.

Hi Victor,

Please submit a Support Ticket at http://www.parallels.com/support/request/ , so one of our representative will assist you with the issue.

The support team has actually been able to resolve this problem. The issue was that too restricted permissions were set for a temp directory and that disk utility did not see this.

sudo launchctl start com.parallels.desktop.launchdaemon
didn't work, so:

cd /Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/
./prl_client_app
sudo chmod -R 777 /tmp/
