Thanks! I will try it now.Create a new VM using Windows > Other Windows, don't try to base it off of Windows 8.1
Did you use the base vm config with 1 GB of RAM, 2 Cores and 64GB of HD space? That is what I did and I am up and running now.Im having the same problem even with installing it as other windows
Yes, everythings the default settingsDid you use the base vm config with 1 GB of RAM, 2 Cores and 64GB of HD space? That is what I did and I am up and running now.
Are all other VM's shut down? That was the only other thing I did.Yes, everythings the default settings
Did you get Parallels tools installed? After I installed it using Other Windows, parallels tools dont show up.Did you use the base vm config with 1 GB of RAM, 2 Cores and 64GB of HD space? That is what I did and I am up and running now.

Thanks, work very well. For parallels tools, I suggest manually installing: http://kb.parallels.com/112609
Manually installing works great, and all features are supported.
Sounds like you got a bad ISO like the user below you. Always compared the MD5 hashes! If you set up with default settings as 'Other Windows' everything should work 100%. Then install manually parallels tools and you should be in business!I don't have a DVD drive at work, so I've tried installing from a .ISO image, and also using bootable USB (build with the Window 7 USB download tool). Parallels doesn't recognize either of these, even using "Other Windows". Any suggestions?
