Shared Networking problems

Hi all,

I can't get shared networking to work properly, it shows connected in XP at 10Mbps and I can get updates for my antivirus but neither Firefox or Explorer work.

I had given up on Shared Networking and switched to Bridged long time ago, but now I am on DialUp and really need to use Shared.

I show in device manager 2 adapters:
Parallels Network adapter (with yellow exclamation) not working.
Realtek RTL8029(AS) PCI Ethernet Adapter #6

Does anybody have a clue what is going on?
I searched the forum, but could not find same issues.
Any help really appreciated.

Emilio

If your XP anti-virus is still able to connect to the internet but not your browser, you may have a bad setup in the internet connection. Do you need to set-up a proxy? Some providers require you to set-up a proxy to user their dial-up connection.

Check with your provider.

Thanks for your response,

No, I don't need to setup a proxy.

Last night I came home and it didn't work either in the wireless, I am back in Bridge Networking now.

Do you know of any thread that explains how to setup Shared Networking in detail?

Thanks for your help,
Emilio
