No OS installed

I downloaded Windows 8 from Microsoft online. The file downloaded as a rar. When I extracted it, I just have a folder of all the setup files. I made that .rar into an .iso so I could install it on parallels. Once it went through virtual machine creation, I get a prompt screen and error message that says "there is no operating system install on this virtual machine. Please insert the Operation system installation DVD into the optical drive of your mac and restart the virtual machine."

I have already paid for the download of Windows 8, so I donthave to have to also pay for the DVD. Any clues?

Please follow the steps as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4729 , in the Step 3 try locating the installation file(.iso) manually and proceed with the installation by selecting "Continue".

If you are still unable to continue the installation, please share a screenshot of the error message.
