Unable to activate Parallels 9 on new Mac

I am replacing my old MB Pro with a new one.I used migration assistant to transfer everything to the new machine. However, when I start Parallels I am asked to activate and the get an error message stating that my activation key has reached its activation limit.

As I understand it, I should be able to use the key on my new machine.
