Windows program (Quicken) starts but stays an icon; won't open a window

When I start Quicken in Windows 7 within Parallels, the program starts but the icon won't expand into a window, neither in Coherance nor Windowed mode. It seems to be running in the background, I just can't open a window to use the program. (Parallels build 9.0.24172)

I did, but that wasn't the problem. It turned out the problem was the pixel resolution in Windows 7 was too high. The program would startup and be active, but couldn't form a window, so it stayed as an icon on the launch bar at the bottom of my Windows screen. Reduced the pixel resolution to a reasonable size and the Windows programs formed windows once again, and was also able to run in Coherence mode.

Good to know it works now!
If you're using Retina Mac, you can also play with the resolution settings as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/119926
